Story Map

At Aquae Sulis the Recentii and Bellator wait among petitioners for an audience with the client king Cogidubnus, learning the social texture of a Romanized British kingdom and winning over a proud priest as their way in. When they try to warn the king about Salvius, hired agents force their way in and play the wronged innocents, forcing a duel of credibility before the court. Soldiers close in and a sudden trapdoor drops the party into an immersion at the Roman Senate of 149 BCE, where they witness Cato and the debate over the fate of Carthage.

How to read the maps

Each box is one scene (one static story page). Green = standard scene · Blue = convergence / key node · Pink = fail / redirect (dashed pink arrows loop the reader back) · Yellow = special or graded gate · Grey = meta / optional. Solid arrows are forward story choices; labels on arrows paraphrase the choice.
